Our History

Story in Austin, TX

Our Roots Run Deep in Austin, Texas

Austin Tree Specialists has cared for Central Texas trees since 1975. Austin has changed dramatically over those decades, but our commitment to knowledgeable, responsible tree care has not. Today the company is veteran-owned and led by owner Marcus Roach, who brought his focus on honest, tree-first service back to a name Austin has trusted for two generations. We have worked with generations of homeowners and property owners across the Austin area, caring for everything from young landscape trees to mature heritage specimens.

That experience gave us a deep understanding of local tree species, soils, drought, storms, pests, and disease, and the challenges trees face in an increasingly urban environment.

Tree-Focused Professionals

Our Mission

Rooted in Knowledge. Driven by Responsible Tree Care.

Our mission is to provide professional tree care based on knowledge, honesty, and what is genuinely best for each tree and property. Good tree care starts with proper evaluation, so before we recommend pruning, treatment, structural support, or removal, we consider the tree’s species, health, structure, location, and long-term outlook. Clear recommendations, high-quality work, and confident decisions for our customers.

Our Vision

Preserving Austin’s Urban Forest for Future Generations

Austin’s trees are part of what makes Central Texas unique. They provide shade, habitat, beauty, energy savings, and lasting value. Our vision is to help preserve and strengthen Austin’s urban forest through responsible pruning, proactive tree health care, and thoughtful decisions that leave healthier, safer, more resilient landscapes for the generations that follow.

Our Values

Tree-Focused Expertise

Honesty: We recommend only the work your trees actually need, not what costs the most.

Tree-Focused Expertise: Trees are all we do. We do not split our attention with landscaping or unrelated services.

Local Roots: We have cared for Austin trees since 1975 and we know this region’s soils, storms, and species firsthand. Veteran-

Owned Discipline: A veteran-owned team means accountability, safety, and doing the job right the first time.

Safety First: Every job is planned to protect your property, your family, and our crew.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very quick to come diagnose and remove a huge oak that had suddenly failed. Watching the crew take down that 60 year old tree while safely navigating between power lines and the house was like watching trapeze artists with chainsaw. Very professional, efficient, and courteous. Highly recommend
